Coffee farmers in the state of Lara receive training in quality standards

Seventy coffee farmers from the Morán, Andrés Eloy Blanco, Torres, Iribarren and Crespo municipalities in the state of Lara were trained in the specialized workshop “Coffee Sample Selection for Physical Sensory Analysis in the Laboratory”, held as part of the eighth anniversary of the state company AgroLara.

The training day was led by Pastor Valero, an instructor certified by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), who provided technical tools to local producers on good planting practices, harvesting and applying international quality standards required by tasting laboratories, a press release from the Larense government highlighted this Monday, according to the regional press.

He indicated that the meeting was attended by the ambassador of the Republic of Barbados in Venezuela, Aquinas J. Clarke, together with the Secretary of Economic Development of the state of Lara, Tomás Elías Reyes Flores.
