Last Tuesday, Colombia's Foreign Ministry rejected the actions of the National Electoral Council (CNE) against President Gustavo Petro that contravene the country's democratic exercise.

In a statement, the Colombian Foreign Ministry indicated that in the country there is an inviolability of presidential jurisdiction that prevents Petro from being investigated by an administrative entity such as the CNE, according to the Constitution.

He has also indicated that they will notify the entire Diplomatic Corps established in the country and that they will inform the international community about the actions that will assert and respect the Colombian democratic system.
