On April 13, 2009, from Urdaneta Avenue, Caracas, the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, praised those who fought on the Llaguno Bridge, the victims and their families during the 2002 coup d'etat.

“There must be justice, justice. And I take this opportunity to recognize those who have fought so hard for justice, to the survivors of the Puente Llaguno massacre, to the families of the victims and martyrs of Puente Llaguno, to a courageous group of men and women,” said the Commander.

In this context, he recalled the murder of the prosecutor, Danilo Anderson, since “the Venezuelan oligarchy eliminated him, because he was precisely one of the few prosecutors who, at that time, took up the battle for justice, after the April 11 coup. And all the events that followed, that year 2002, that year 2003, this murderous oligarchy has no limits.”

“I invite the powers of the State to continue on the offensive for justice. As soon as a small breeze of justice arrived, we are going to welcome justice, that justice prevails above all else ( ... )”, said the Bolivarian leader.
