On November 30, 2007, from Bolivar Avenue in Caracas, the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, assured that the Bolivarian Revolution has shown its potential power.
“The revolutionary potential that slept under the mountains, that slept between these cities, in those valleys, in those mountains, in those fields, the revolutionary potential began to be converted into power by assuming the government of the Republic. Since then I have been in charge tirelessly, you know that,” he said.
“They (the right) have said it loud and clear, that they are not going to recognize any triumph other than theirs and so they are calling, as they have always done, for civil disobedience; they are calling on the military, they are making plans to sabotage Christmas, they are making plans to sabotage food, the food supply they are making plans because they say for Venezuela to turn into chaos, I swear, by God and my mother, we will not allow them.”
Likewise, the Bolivarian leader warned that he is already aware of the plans that destabilizing groups have “that's why I call the Venezuelan people, the Venezuelan people listen carefully, I am a soldier, that's what I am and I swear to God and my mother, that if I had to pick up a gun again to defend the homeland, I don't care about anything, I don't care about anything”.
