The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Liliana González, reported that communal justices of the peace who are elected on December 15 will receive training at the National School of the Judiciary of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), so that they can adapt to the legal regulations of cases that refer to the community.

During the program Café en la Mañana, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, she explained that “there was a debate about why the candidates for communal justices of the peace were not lawyers; it's not necessary, because there are people who are respected in the community and have important values in their homes.”

He stressed that in each commune there is an electoral circuit that functions as a commission of the commune and will be the one who will lead the application process.

In this regard, he stated that “we invite all those who want to participate; the requirement for the application, and it is one of the most important, is morality in the commune; likewise, it must have the capacity to resolve conflicts for peace; principles of harmony in the community, as well as of citizen life”.

González recalled that this initiative began when the Judicial Year took place, a meeting led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, who called on representatives of the public authorities to transform the Justice System in the country, so a National Electoral Commission was installed, with the participation of the Supreme Court and the National Electoral Council (CNE).
