With the objective of promoting new forms of articulation and organization between community Popular Power and institutions, spokespersons from 30 communes in the city of Caracas received the first training workshop on the National System of Integration and Communication (SINCO).
This day was organized by the Permanent Commission on Infrastructure and Urbanism of the Municipal Council of Caracas (CMC), in coordination with the Federal Government Council and the Ministry of Popular Power for Communes and Social Movements (MinComunas), at the headquarters of the aforementioned ministry located in Sabana Grande, Caracas.
This information was provided by Jesús García, president of the aforementioned CMC Commission, who stated that President Nicolás Maduro Moros on February 5 instructed, through his Con Maduro+ program, the new minister for communes and the Federal Government Council, to transfer greater powers and resources to communal councils and communes. “Following these guidelines from the President and with the support of Minister Guy Vernáez, we carry out this activity thanks to the guidance of the Federal Government Council and its teams in Caracas.”
García highlighted that SINCO is a novel digital tool whose functions include the transfer of resources for projects uploaded to the platform by community councils and communes. “The purpose of this workshop was also for communes that have their Concrete Action Agenda, Solution Map and Social Cartography to learn about the platform, interact with the system, become familiar with it, upload their projects and turn it into a tool for everyday work,” he added.
The Councilman explained that the interesting thing about SINCO is that it promotes self-construction, communal comptroller and the planning of concrete actions in the territory.
He highlighted that among the attending communes there were spokespersons and spokeswomen from the communes: Wilfredo Roche, Altos de Lídice; San Agustín Invicta with Maduro; El Panal 2021; Raúl García; Cacica Urquía; Gerardo López Mujica; Jorge Rodríguez Padre, Estrella del Sur; Amalivaca; Cacique Paramaconi; Renacer de Vista Alegre; Sucre Community Success and Lanceros de la Victoria, located in the parishes Sucre, La Pastora, San Agustín, January 23, San Juan, San José El Recreo, Santa Rosalía, San Bernardino, El Valle, La Vega and Caricuao.
Finally, the Councilman called on the communes to continue working with planning and organization, as key elements for building solutions, as a guarantee of better interaction with the State, to solve problems.
“Sinco is a tool administered by the Federal Government Council, its Executive Secretary, Guy Vernáez, is now also the Minister of Communes, so this moment is ideal for municipalities to assume it as a vital tool, to seek to solve their problems through that path,” he said.
