The Commune United for Bolivar de Petare and the Socialist
Simón Bolívar Commune of January 23 were the most voted in the
National Popular Consultation held this Sunday, November 23, across the country,
President Nicolás Maduro reported during the broadcast of the Con Maduro+ program.
“Venezuela has Popular Power and
true democracy, because it has people, the neighbor, the neighbor, the family, the man, the
woman. Leaders, real, empowered, leaders, leaders, really,” she said.
Community representatives narrated their
organizational process and explained how they developed election day. The
representative of the Commune United for Bolivar de Petare, María Dolores, stressed
that her Commune is one of the largest communes in the municipality; since it has
24 communal councils, more than 9,000 families, and more than 30,000 inhabitants in the territory.
The leader of Petare also highlighted that her community
was visited by young Colombians, who had an excellent
impression of the country.
“These young people were impressed, happy, because
they said that the amount of participation was impressive, how Venezuelans
express themselves and how we Venezuelans live happily ever after, which is not what is said outside in other countries,
that in Venezuela we are
going through work, that we Venezuelans are not dying, that we Venezuelans are unhappy,” María explained.
