Communist Party of Vietnam pays tribute to Ho Chi Minh in Caracas

On the occasion of the visit of the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam to the province of Quang Nam, in the framework of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 60th anniversary of the heroic Operation Nguyen Van Troi, a wreath ceremony was held this Friday between the bust of Ho Chi Minh in Caracas.
During the event, the second secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and president of the People's Council (Provincial Assembly) of Quang Nam and head of the delegation, Nguyen Duc Dung, highlighted the close bond between the two nations, from “the party, the peoples and the governments, which are developing more and more every day”, while thanking everyone present for the deep feeling towards the historic leader Ho Chi Minh.
The ambassador of Vietnam accredited to Venezuela, Vu Trung My, during his speech, stressed that “the first time I was here, in 2005, the bust was not yet found” but thanks to the efforts of the Venezuelan Government, on December 10, 2007, it was inaugurated on Avenida Bolívar, expressing the eternal presence of this leader.
For his part, the deputy to the National Assembly, Julio Chávez, stated “that it was an expression of tenderness and conviction of the Venezuelan people for the long struggle that the heroic Vietnamese people fought to defeat the French, Japanese and North American empires”, after commemorating 60 years of Operation Van Troi.
The Deputy Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Tatiana Pugh, emphasized that “when we say: Until victory always! , we also think of Vietnam”, which not only achieved victory and ended imperialism and colonialism; but also today it has become a prosperous society and has managed to lift millions of people out of poverty in the name of socialism. He added that “we know that there is a model that works and that model is also being built in Venezuela.”
Finally, the singer-songwriter of the genre of the necessary song, Oswaldo Musset, delighted those present with the songs “Woman of Vietnam” and “Yankee, Go Home”, by the Cantor del Pueblo, Ali Primera.
In the afternoon, the Vietnamese delegation and Venezuelan authorities inaugurated the “Nguyen Van Troi” computer room at the U.E.D. “Graciela Navas Tovar”, in the Sucre parish of Caracas, in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Operation Nguyen Van Troi.
