2025 left a positive balance in the communal competitive system, which was demonstrated in the III Community Sports Games, as part of the National Sports Plan and in the fourth Social Transformation promoted by President Nicolás Maduro.

The participation of the country's 5,336 communal circuits, 1 million 545,355 boys and girls, in addition to 320,455 older adults, reaffirmed the State's commitment to the expansion of physical activity in every corner of the Venezuelan territory.

The Community Games were held in five phases of competition that began with the celebration of the communal intercouncils, from September 6 to October 10, followed by the intercircuits phase, communal from October 20 to November 9, and the state intermunicipal phase from November 15 to 23.

Subsequently, the regional phase took place, from November 27 to 30, and finally, from December 7 to 17, to reach the national phase with 2,743 athletes who were selected from the previous stages.

During this year, a wide range of disciplines were covered, from combat sports such as judo, wrestling, boxing, karate and taekwondo, swimming, weightlifting, skating and team disciplines such as basketball (5v5 and 3v3), volleyball and kickingball, and even traditional games.

In this national phase, which was carried out in the states of Mérida, Táchira and Trujillo, they were identified and evaluated with anthropometric and physical aptitude tests that created a national profile of the Venezuelan child in the respective categories and ages.

2025 also represented a year of social inclusion, bringing together participants from 7 to 89 years old, which reflected generational diversity.

For the first time, the Community Games also incorporated older adults in our country, who had 740 representatives in individual and collective physical activities, which demonstrated the organization, joint work and the valuable role of grandparents as active protagonists of sports.

In addition, 47,000 sports and physical activity committees were activated in the community councils, for the systematic practice of the same, with the registration of 16,208 spokespersons and spokespersons for sports, as well as the support of 1,876 winning projects in the youth consultation, of which 1,608 projects (86%) correspond to sports activities and the activation of 1,505 circles of grandparents in 15 states of the country.
