Con El Mazo Dando Program received special mention from the National Journalism Award 2025

This Wednesday, June 25, the Qualifying Jury for the Simon Bolivar 2025 National Journalism Award awarded a special mention to the program Con el Mazo Da Ndo, hosted by Captain Diosdado Cabello Rondón, for its 11 years of broadcasting in defense of the truth of Venezuela and the communication vanguard of the Bolivarian Revolution.
This was announced by the judging jury after publishing the verdict of the winners for this edition, in which they evaluated a total of 377 applications.
In addition, together with Con El Mazo Dando, they also received special mentions: Sahar Emami, Nima Rajabpour and Masoumeh Azim (Iran), victims of an Israeli bombardment against the press; more than 200 Palestinian journalists killed by the Israeli regime; Telesur, for their 20 years of information service to the Global South; David Davila, for the graphic image Tanks of Community Thought, among others.
On February 10, 2014, through Venezolana de Televisión, the Con El Mazo Dando program was created to defend the truth of Venezuela and the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez, under the direction of the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón.
In this space, designed by the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, Cabello, together with his team, always brings reflections and messages from Commander Chávez about the political moment that Venezuela is experiencing, to continue fighting and fighting in defense of the Homeland against the lies of imperialism and its lackeys of the Venezuelan extreme right.
“Today is Con El Mazo Dando's 11th anniversary, since that day we dared to leave (...) 11 years, I thank all the colleagues who work at El Mazo and who collaborate with us,” said Cabello during the anniversary of his program in 2025.
