Congressman Pedro Carreño: US imperialism is living its last throes

The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Pedro Carreño, during the World Anti-Fascist Forum, assured that “imperialism is living its last throes”, since, in its desperate action to preserve its hegemony, it has migrated to a new form of fascism that threatens stability and life.

Faced with this situation, Carreño pointed out the fundamental role of parliaments, which “are not only dedicated to philosophizing or diagnosing the problem, but they also pose insurmountable barriers to neofascism”.

The deputy also stressed that the “parliamentarian has the power to legislate and exercise political control”, in order to avoid mutations or extensions of fascism that seeks to hegemonically destabilize human society.

He also stressed that the World Anti-Fascist Forum “will be a stimulus and a tool for parliaments to begin to legislate on this matter.”
