CORPOELEC restored electricity service to 70,000 inhabitants of Monagas

The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) restored electricity to more than 70,000 inhabitants in the municipalities of Bolívar and Punceres in the state of Monagas after rehabilitating the 115 kV Boulevard Quiriquire transmission line, which was damaged as a result of the passage of tropical wave number 38.

Through continuous work in the field, specialized crews were able to build temporary structures to replace the demolished towers to ensure the flow of current again throughout this eastern Venezuelan area, the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN) reported, citing a press release from the institution.

The company's technical teams continue to be deployed carrying out maintenance and replacement tasks on high-voltage networks to shield the electrical system against new weather events.
