CORPOELEC weeded electrical substations in Táchira to improve service in the state

With the objective of strengthening the electricity supply, the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) carried out vegetation control tasks in 10 substations, ensuring optimal operating conditions for the electricity service that benefits more than 150,000 residents of Tachirense.
The works carried out included cutting and removing weeds in perimeter operating areas, firewalls and common areas of the El Corozo, La Fría II, Santa Ana, Borde Seco, El Piñal, Capacho, Táchira I, Táchira, San Diego and San Cristóbal I substations.
In addition, according to a press release, specialized personnel applied chemical treatment to adjacent areas, with the purpose of preventing the reappearance of weeds and preserving the operability of the associated electrical circuits.
These preventive works ensure the integrity of the infrastructures that distribute energy in the municipalities of San Cristóbal, Torbes, Córdoba, Libertador, Fernández Feo, Independencia, Junín and García de Hevia.
