The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recognized this Friday all the patriots who came out to defend the Homeland on February 23, 2019 in the Battle of the Bridges, in which imperialism and its lackeys intended to undermine the country's sovereignty with the excuse of supposed “humanitarian aid”.
“We were a small group, we could say, but a group full of dignity (...) I want to recognize the heroes, the people and the comrades who were there (...) I recognize all the value of resistance, of those who fought and fought,” said Cabello during his podcast Sin Truco Ni Maña.
In that regard, he recalled that the young revolutionary Miguel Mejía “Sancocho Power”, who sadly died, along with other colleagues, was one of those who was there compiling audiovisual material from that battle that the People fought.
“Rodbexa was there from day one and didn't move; (Eduardo) Piñate, (Jehyson) Guzmán, they were there from day one (...) people from here in Caracas who were there (...) from Barinas, from Portuguesa, that's a courageous, courageous people,” he said, also recognizing the courage and political leadership of the governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal.
