Within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission for Bilateral Cooperation, the government of the Republic of Cuba has guaranteed preferential fiscal and operating conditions for the launch of a taxi service in Havana with the participation of the Russian Federation.

As reported by the Russian Deputy Minister of Transport, Aleksánder Poshivai, these benefits will remain in effect throughout the project's execution period, thus ensuring the viability of the future joint venture and shielding foreign investment in the sector.

The initiative will have an initial fleet of 50 vehicles of the emblematic Moskvich brand, sent by Russia to reactivate urban transport in the Cuban capital in collaboration with the Government of Moscow.

This measure, previously announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitri Chernyshenko, represents a strategic step in the renewal of the island's fleet and strengthens the presence of the Russian automotive industry in the Caribbean market under a shared management model.

Beyond operational logistics, the agreement extends to the development of human capital through a comprehensive technical training proposal. The Eurasian country seeks to promote cooperation in specialized education, aimed at training Cuban personnel in the management of infrastructure and transportation projects.

This comprehensive approach aims to ensure the sustainability of joint investments and modernize mobility systems through the exchange of technical and professional knowledge.
