Cuba denounces the hijacking of another Venezuelan vessel by the United States as maritime terrorism

The Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, condemned the hijacking of a second Venezuelan oil tanker by U.S. forces in international Caribbean waters, calling the action an act of piracy and maritime terrorism.

Rodríguez said that this operation confirms Washington's disregard for international law and the rules governing navigation and maritime trade. He also warned that the measure constitutes a new maneuver against Venezuela, aimed at intensifying pressure on that country and intervening in its energy resources, RT reported.

The statements of the Cuban Foreign Minister came after the kidnapping, this Saturday, of an oil tanker that sailed from a Venezuelan port and was intercepted by U.S. authorities.
