The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected recent publications that seek to spread falsehoods about an alleged dialogue between Cuban officials and representatives of the United States on Venezuela's internal affairs.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Antillean nation described these versions as part of a strategy aimed at weakening cooperation between Havana and Caracas through the dissemination of manipulated news.
The statement warns that some sectors of the United States promote unfounded accusations to attempt to fragment the unity of the Venezuelan People and Government in the face of external pressure, while trying to involve Cuba in narratives designed to justify actions of interference.
The text also highlights that such accusations are part of Washington's efforts to undermine Cuba's international credibility, even in areas where it has demonstrated its effectiveness, such as the fight against drug trafficking and the defense of regional peace.
The Cuban Government reiterated its support for Venezuela and reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of sovereignty and self-determination in the face of any attempt at destabilization.
