The Latin American and Caribbean Continental Network of Solidarity with Cuba and Just Causes published, this Saturday, October 26, an open letter addressed to the president of Brazil, Lula Da Silva, expressing concern about Brazil's veto for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to join the BRICS.

Norberto “Champa” Galiotti, general coordinator of the network, signs the letter in which he says: “We have no record of your expressions questioning the tendentious manipulation and complicity of the Supreme Court of your country in these cases that we mentioned to you. However, we know of his questioning of the Supreme Court of Venezuela for validating the result of the presidential elections reported by the CNE and which enshrined the victory of President Nicolás Maduro.”

The letter, according to web portals, questions Brazil's arguments to veto Venezuela based on the presidential elections. “We resist thinking that this is an attitude agreed with the U.S. State Department, which is obsessed with overthrowing the Bolivarian Revolution, the Cuban Revolution and the Sandinista Revolution,” the text reads.

In the letter, the network wishes Lula the wisdom that life gives to a Workers' President. “We need it on this side, on the opposite side of the empire, on the anti-imperialist and emancipatory side, on the supportive and respectful side of the self-determination of peoples,” they say.
