Dakota Ferrer and Carlos Ríos bring the second gold medal to Venezuela at the Pan American Games in Asunción

The Venezuelan duo of Dakota Ferrer and Carlos Ríos won the gold medal in table tennis at the 2025 Pan American Games in Asunción.
The Criollos rallied 3-2 against the Puerto Rican couple, Enrique Ríos and Kristal Meléndez, in an intense match that allowed them to win the second gold for Venezuela.
The national duo left Dominicans Rafael Cabrera and Dafne Sosa (9-11, 11-5, 12-10 and 11-8) on the road in the round of 16, and repeated the dose more forcefully 3-0 (12-10, 11-6 and 14-12) to the Brazilian duo of Leonardo Ilzuka and Beatriz Mendoca.
In the semifinals and with a guaranteed bronze medal, he beat the Puerto Rican duo of Edmarie León and Steve Moreno 3-2 (11-7, 11-6 and 11-6).
The national delegation has accumulated 2 gold, four silver and nine bronze for a total of 15, placing it in eleventh place in the medal table.
