Delcy Rodríguez: Federal Government Council approves increased resources and consultation schedule for 2026

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that the First Federal Government Council of 2026 approved a 37% increase in resources for the year, maintaining the current distribution: 53% for Popular Power, 29% for state governments, 15% for municipalities and 3% for institutional strengthening.
He also confirmed that the first popular consultation of 2026 will be held on March 8 and will aim to select projects related to the economy, production, the human city, infrastructure, public works and services. At the same time, the second Obratón will be activated, with more than 8,200 lists ready for community execution.
Rodríguez explained that these decisions are part of the revision of the Admirable Challenge 2026 and of the lines of action aimed at expanding the participation of the people in public administration. He stressed that the Federal Government Council consolidates coordination between the different levels of the State to ensure that resources reach communities.
During the session, the technical teams presented the progress of the priority projects in 2025 and the operational projections for the new cycle. The governments, mayors and organizations of the People's Power presented their proposals for the execution of works and services in the territories.
The president in charge stressed that the March 8 consultation will make it possible to select initiatives with a direct impact on communities, while the Obratón will expand the response capacity of local infrastructures through popular organization.
The Federal Governing Council agreed to hold regular meetings to evaluate the development of the projects and ensure the execution of the resources approved for 2026.
