Delcy Rodríguez: Popular Power has been and will be the north of our management orientation

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted this Thursday the leading role of Popular Power in State institutions, as instructed by Commander Hugo Chávez.

“I could say to Commander Chávez today: Commander, we are taking giant steps in the direction and strategic orientation you gave us to turn the Ministries into Ministries of People's Power as well,” Rodríguez said during his participation in the High-Level Workshop of the Popular Government.

From the La Carlota Convention Center, he pointed out that the senior authorities of the institutions of the Bolivarian Government must be “in the territory, bring management and public policies directly to the territory. We had already moved forward with the concrete agenda of action with social cartography. We knew that all planning, that everything that was the budget, investment and social orientation should come from the territory and not from the offices of the Ministry of Planning or the Ministry of Finance,” he said.

Rodríguez stressed that “Popular Power has been the compass of this process, Popular Power has been and will be the north of our orientation in management (...) this is an unprecedented activity because it is a workshop for the strategic orientation of what this body of management and execution of public policies should become in the territory together with the Popular Power together with the communal organization,” he emphasized.
