The Executive Vice President of the Republic and Minister of the People's Power of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Wednesday the act of greeting and welcoming the students of the Training Programs of the Venezuelan Hydrocarbons University, whom she entrusted with the defense of national energy policy.

During his speech, Rodríguez denounced that opposition extremism, led by María Corina Machado, is negotiating the delivery of oil, gas and other resources from Venezuela to foreign interests if it came to power.

“You have to know the story well to know that you are going to be the guardians and guardians of the future of our oil policy. It's your turn to defend because in this quest to defend our resources, defend our history, defend our Bolivarian Venezuela, you are not going to defeat us, we can assure you of that,” he urged the students.

In this regard, he confirmed that the Venezuelan people “are indestructible and the time has come to defend and defeat them definitively, to understand that the path is different, that the path is not to send ships to take our reserves or to threaten us militarily. No, that's not the way,” he said, referring to the United States (US) military deployment in the Caribbean.

Rodríguez stressed that the path is international law and cooperation. Venezuela has relationships with many energy companies in the world, in Africa, in Asia, in Europe, even in the United States. Chevron has been in Venezuela for more than 100 years. The way is cooperation, the way is for them to pay in accordance with the commercial conventions that we inherit with a policy of tax, royalty, dividend division. Not surrender,” he emphasized.
