Demonstrators in Amsterdam reject Washington's actions against Venezuela

This Saturday, a group of demonstrators gathered in front of the United States consulate in Amsterdam to condemn the military offensive launched by the Donald Trump administration against Venezuela.

Under the slogan “We are tired of the Yankees”, they demanded respect for Venezuela's national sovereignty, and they denounced that the objective of Washington's measures is to appropriate Venezuelan oil through an imposed change of government.

“They arrest legitimately elected leaders. They don't want democracy, they don't want freedom. They are the main terrorist in the world,” they said.

The demonstrators demanded the immediate release of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, who were arrested as part of the intervention.
