The deputy to the National Assembly (AN) Diva Guzmán reported that the Basic Legislative Program 2025 was discussed with representatives of the country's women's movements.
During the meeting, Guzmán pointed out that one of the great struggles of women is to achieve political equality in all spaces, as well as to guarantee their rights and duties so that they have their own voice in the processes of designing public policies.
“We discuss the need for participation that breaks cultural barriers imposed on those who decide to do politics. Our role is participatory, leading and guarantor of the historical reasons why we fight,” he said.
He recalled that the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) has succeeded in materializing political parity, unlike other parties, a press report by the AN.
“In our case, it's about ratifying the commitment that the president and the national leadership have made to the women's movement and to the different expressions of women's movements in the country,” she concluded.
