Deputy Fariñas: Operation Independence 200 strengthens the patriotic spirit of the Venezuelan people

Operation Independence 200 is a military training and training exercise, which represents a fundamental characteristic for the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Venezuelan people because it strengthens the patriotic spirit in the face of imperial threats, said the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), William Fariñas.

During an interview on the Al Aire program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, he stressed that this exercise evokes the glorious past of Venezuela, when 200 years ago the People became an army to achieve independence.

“This town has that feeling that evokes the past with wisdom, with promptness, with dedication, without losing peace and joy,” he said.

Fariñas explained that this initiative emerges as a response to the external threats of the North American empire, which seek to generate anxiety and internal destabilization. In that context, he stressed that Venezuela is strengthened through faith, unity and love.

“We are prepared in spirit, in arms, in peace to face any threat (...) in the face of death threats we put life and peace,” he said.

He also pointed out that the true glory of a soldier is not to be found in going to war, but in preserving peace.

He reaffirmed that throughout their history, the Venezuelan people have been victorious in all imperial attacks, without ever renouncing their principles of peace, beliefs and values.
