Deputy Maduro Guerra: The Venezuelan family unites to build defense and future

“The Venezuelan family unites to work, to build the economy, education, defense of the country, and it also unites in prayer,” said National Assembly (AN) deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra during the activation of the Integral Defense Management Body (ODDI) in Caracas.

The parliamentarian emphasized that comprehensive defense encompasses both the military component and logistics, transportation, food and communication systems. In this context, he expressed his gratitude to the major generals, brigade members, colonels, senior officers, officers and soldiers of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).

“With precise instructions from President Nicolás Maduro, commander in chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, we have gone out to guarantee, test, evaluate successes and detect areas for improvement, to be prepared for any situation that threatens national sovereignty,” he said.

Maduro Guerra specified that the day included a march that highlighted the country's capacity to respond to possible threats to national sovereignty.

He invited the Venezuelan people to the religious celebration on October 19, in which Dr. José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles will be recognized as saints by the Vatican.
