During an interview on the program Café en La Mañana, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Ilenia Medina, stressed that the days of dialogue are established with all sectors.
“The Government decided to open this space for dialogue with all sectors, who, although they do not live in the AN, leave aside extremism to take up the democratic electoral path,” he said, while stressing that respect for the Constitution has been maintained.
In addition, he stressed that the days of dialogue seek to consolidate a proposed schedule for the 2024 presidential elections to be presented to the National Electoral Council (CNE), an entity that will decide the final date.
“What has never been able to be questioned is the transparency of the (electoral) process, no one can present any evidence of fraud. This is extremely important to keep in mind,” he emphasized.
According to what was published on the VTV web portal, Medina considered important meetings between political and social sectors regarding the electoral process, to dismantle patterns of destabilization in the country, and ensure respect for the results.
