Deputy Minister of Land Transport: The activation of the Single Electronic Travel System is progressing

During an interview on the Al Aire program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the Deputy Minister of Land Transportation, Héctor Rojas, reported that progress is being made in the implementation of the Unified Electronic Travel System (SUVE), in the Metro and Railway system.



He specified that this is a new technological payment mechanism promoted by the Bolivarian Government and consists of providing users with access to the Metro and Railway . While people over 60 years of age and those with any type of disability, the service will be exempt.


He explained that each card has a color, yellow for grandparents and people with disabilities, while “the blue one is for student use. Every time the student makes use of their ticket, they will have a discount of 50% of the price of the ticket. In addition to this, there will be the red card, which is the one that the rest of the users will use.”


While the red card has a value of 25 bolivars plus Bs. 5 in recharge for each trip and will be used by users in general.


Citizens can purchase the SUVE at any of the Caracas Metro stations through several payment methods, either in bolivars in cash, debit card or with the Biopago service. For its part, the T-Ticket will continue to operate until December 2024, according to a note from the VTV web portal.
