Venezuela will close 2024 with inflation below 20%, estimated the vice-president of the Finance Subcommittee of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Ramón Lobo.
He pointed out that this is demonstrated by the analysis of the behavior that the economy has maintained in recent months and assured that if this situation continues, it will be possible to decrease to one digit, according to a press release from the AN.
Lobo recalled that the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) reported inflation of 0.8% in September, with a cumulative inflation of 12.1% from January to September, so this is a positive figure, compared to the records of 2023, from January to September, which amounted to 158.2%.
He highlighted that the country has a growth, in Gross Domestic Product (GDP), of 13 consecutive quarters. “This is a cross-cutting axis to leverage national development, with a projection of 8% for this year, a very favorable perspective for the Venezuelan people,” he stressed.
This Wednesday, October 9, the director of the Latin American Petroleum Association in Texas, Alejandro Terán, said that by the end of 2025, Venezuela is projected to reach two million barrels, while by the beginning of the same year, the country will record a production of one million and a half hundred thousand barrels, leading production to its annual closing projection.
