Diosdado Cabello, during the ceremony on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of the Battle of the Bridges in the Pedro María Ureña municipality of the state of Táchira, praised the struggle of the “courageous people who did not give up and are not giving up now”.

“I have in my hands a stone that brother Darío Vivas had as a memory of the Battle of the Bridges; he picked it up from the ground and marked it as if there were no going to happen there as I remember the battle that took place on February 23,” he said

In this regard, he highlighted the award of the 40 heroes and heroines and emphasized that February 23 is not celebrated by the right wing “they don't learn from defeats”.

He recalled that the people do celebrate February 4th “because even in defeats you have to learn,” he said, adding that “the arrogance of that opposition sector does not make them have reason to celebrate because they know the damage they were doing to their own country.”

“After the amount of millions of dollars that USAID and North American imperialism gave to that group of traitors to the Homeland, only two things were demonstrated: First, they are great thieves, rats, long tails, sewers, garbage dumpsters and the other their very high level of ineptitude and incapacity”

He added that they had the support of the president of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, of narco-paraco Yván Duque, and the paraco mayor Álvaro Uribe Vélez “there they were close to the border.”

“Imperialism has been so wrong with this people because they haven't been concerned about knowing history,” he said.

“They can persecute us, punish us... And the more they do that, the stronger the dignity of the Venezuelan people rises,” he said.
