Those who are in charge of the Black Hipolita Mission and the Brigades of Hope are people who are dedicated to the task of recovering Venezuelans who are in street situations, said the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.
In this regard, during the 20th edition of the podcast Sin Truco Ni Maña, he congratulated the work currently being done by the National Government to rescue people who are in street situations and return them to their homes, to a dignified life. “They assume their work as a profession, not as a job,” he said.
“We had overcome that, there were no more people on the street. But, with the same sanctions, blockades and all those things, when the situation got tougher, there were people who took to the streets. Recovering a partner, that they understand what's going on, is a party for us,” he said.
In addition, in the aforementioned space, he showed an emotional video of a young woman who, through the Brigades of Hope, managed to get off the streets, rehabilitated herself and has now joined this program to rescue more Venezuelans who are in a similar situation.
“On Wednesday she was on the street working, helping people who are going through what she went through right now. When these things become routine, we can say that we are in the presence of a revolution,” he said.
