The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the consensus that exists in the country regarding the defense of peace and in rejection of the aggressions and threats of North American imperialism.

President Nicolás Maduro summons us, summons the country, the Fatherland, first peace as a fundamental value, peace, peace. Peace is today the strongest consensus in Venezuela, from north to south, from east to west, and the president has called, has called for us to guarantee peace throughout the national territory, in all states, in 335 municipalities, in 5,336 communes or communal circuits throughout the country, throughout the country,” he said.

During his 547th Con El Mazo Dando program, he emphasized the importance of ensuring the preparation of all the people for the defense of this peace.

“An active peace, a peace because the President has called us to prepare for a transition in the face of the threats of imperialism, the threats of imperialism, the attacks of imperialism, the siege that imperialism has against the people of Venezuela, to prepare to move from unarmed struggle to armed struggle,” he said.

He added that in the face of this preparation, no one should be concerned, stressing that the Venezuelan people have the right to defend themselves against any aggression against the territory and peace of the Republic.

“That should not worry anyone. Because it's the logical thing for a country to do, see? Here in Venezuela they tell the People we are going to defend the Homeland and the People go out to defend the Homeland,” he pointed out while highlighting the activities carried out throughout the national territory in military preparation.

“The president has ordered an exercise every week and right now we are in surprise exercise, in a flash exercise, the states such and such, and immediately the states such and such are activated, first it was La Guaira and Carabobo, then it was Aragua, Falcón and Zulia, then it went to Monagas, Anzoátegui and Bolívar, then to Delta Amacuro, Sucre, Nueva Esparta, and today in the morning it was Caracas and Miranda with a stick of Water because it woke up raining, all morning it rained with lightning, thunder and sparkle, and people came out. In Miranda we were there on the Petare wall and in Caracas they left from the Taxi Driver's Corner, there they were a mobilized people, an organized people, checking, reviewing, verifying a perfect Popular-Military-Police Fusion,” he explained.

He compared this patriotic spirit of Venezuelans with the forced recruitment carried out in other nations against adolescents and young people who are forced to go to war.

“There, in those countries, they have been forced recruits; since they are 16 years old they have been grabbed and put in a barracks and sent to war and when they reach 16 years old, since they don't have their video game, they have nothing left but to put marijuana, cocaine and heroin in it to put up with them. This is how these armies are maintained, it has historically been that way,” he denounced.

We are not going to negotiate the Homeland!

The also Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace ratified the Bolivarian Government's refusal to surrender to the interests of imperialism and did not hesitate to mention the comments of extremist propagandists who call the leaders of the Revolution “brutes” for refusing to surrender.

“If we are not intelligent, according to you (longliner Leopoldo Castillo), we don't negotiate. The Fatherland is not negotiated with anyone! There we will be the brutest on planet Earth, but we don't negotiate the Homeland with anyone,” he said and challenged the spokespersons of extremism who advocate an invasion to be at the forefront of the fight.

“If you want, come. Here we are prepared to defend the Homeland,” he warned.

The United States is losing its narrative!

Referring to the rhetoric of the United States government about the non-existent “Cartel of the Suns” as an argument to justify aggression against Venezuela, he stated that this narrative is collapsing within world public opinion.

“'In the United States there are dozens of groups dedicated to drug trafficking, why aren't they called cartels? ' Good question the BBC asks, isn't it? Will they respond from the United States ? I don't think so, I don't think so. In the end, this topic is slipping out of the hands of those who invented this narrative, because they have no way of holding it, they have no way of holding it,” he said.

He pointed out that beyond committing murders in the Caribbean with missiles aimed at small boats, to date there is no evidence of drug seizures in this area where they have an extravagant military arsenal deployed.

“Beyond the fact that they murder someone on the high seas, they have no way of proving that these people were carrying drugs or that they were drug traffickers, at all, there is no way to do it, because of the way in which they proceed to murder first, to shoot first and find out later (...). They insist on ignoring 87% of the drugs that come out through the Pacific. Are they only worried about the 5% that comes out? Supposedly I should leave for Venezuela, but here we are giving them a stick; a stick to the marauder, but also a stick to the shark,” he said.

They're not going to buy this town!

The Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace also highlighted the patriotic conscience of the Venezuelan people, in reference to the actions that the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has historically taken in recruiting military personnel to put them at the service of imperialism.

“Ask large transnational corporations in the United States, what are they going to countries for ? See who led the coup d'etat, for example, in Chile. Who was at the forefront of that coup d'etat? What their companies do when they go, I'm not talking about embassies, because well, embassies, that's big words, that's bigger words, well, they have the advice of the military bodies, for what? Well, to buy conscience, they go out to buy conscience, whoever has it cheaply they buy it, now they can't buy what's priceless, if it's priceless they can do whatever they want, but they don't buy any conscience and they're not going to buy their conscience from this people, no, no, there's no way,” he reaffirmed.

There are people who buy peace prizes!

After stressing that peace in Venezuela has been sustained by the people with hard work, perseverance and preparation, he drew attention to people with a history of violence who appeal to the purchase of prizes that grow in disrepute, such as the Nobel Peace Prize.

Peace is not a gift, peace cannot be a gift, no, give me half a kilo of peace. There are people who buy peace prizes, right? Those do have prices, but they are prizes like buying a pair of shoes, but you don't buy peace, you don't go to the pharmacy to buy two peace injectors, peace must be earned hard and hard,” he said.

In this regard, he noted that peace “must be accompanied by justice”. “The Liberator used to say: 'with every conspiracy comes a pardon and with every pardon a new conspiracy'. And Bolívar ended up with something like that, 'criminal clemency'. Criminal leniency, why? Because well, it becomes a vicious circle,” he warned.

The world with Venezuela!

Finally, Diosdado Cabello thanked the Peoples of the world for their solidarity with Venezuela and highlighted the letters of military and social movements from various countries that have expressed their decision to accompany Venezuelans in the fight in the event of imperialist aggression.

“We thank and welcome the Peoples of the world who have offered to defend our country. We are a nation under attack and the military from all over the region who are willing to defend the Homeland of Simon Bolivar. All the help you can give us, welcome. Here they will be welcomed as brothers of life,” he said.
