The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said on Monday that a plenary session of the Red Awning Congress will be held, with the objective of evaluating, reviewing and correcting everything that is due to the fulfillment of the tasks outlined.

“On September 11 and 12, a plenary session of the PSUV Congress will be held, our party is like a school, because we won 285 mayors and we meet to review, to see, to correct what we have to correct,” he said during the party's press conference.

He recalled that the previous plenary session, which was held in February 2025 in La Carlota, the PSUV outlined some tasks, including the election of candidates and the consolidation of a great electoral victory.

“Whoever has an eye to see and whoever has ears to hear: When we evaluate the electoral results of these mayoral and governor elections in numbers compared to 2020 - 2021, the revolutionary force with the PSUV in the vanguard, there has been an increase of more than one million votes between each election, but more than 1 million in length,” he said.

He also noted that a review will be carried out of the functioning and organization of the structures of the PSUV at the state, municipal, grassroots levels and in the Community Circuit and Commune.

“That's where the territorialization of the party is, that's where our people are, the party's sectoral organization,” he said and noted that it will also discuss “the new stage of economic and political development with the seven transformations and on a new look at municipal, state and national public management, taking the commune as its center,” he said.

He reaffirmed that these actions are carried out to continue making progress in the construction of Popular Power.
