Diosdado Cabello: The fascist right maintains a close link with criminal groups

The Venezuelan extreme right maintains a close relationship and has reached agreements with criminal groups that operate in the country, said the Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.

“This link is very dangerous for the country, as it represents the end of the scruples of the fascist right. That means that they don't care about anything in order to assault power,” said the also sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace at a press conference held this Monday.

In this regard, Cabello wondered about the offers that the opposition made to these criminals to gain their support. “It's a union of criminals, they're political criminals, fascists. In the end, they are all extortionists,” he said.

In the same way, he stressed that, by 2025, State Security Agencies will undertake an offensive to eradicate all criminal groups operating in our territory from the country.

On the other hand, he emphasized that in Venezuela, currently, peace reigns. “Right now there is peace in our headquarters. Officers are enjoying their Christmas permits, as are law enforcement officials. We are at peace, and we will continue to do so,” he stressed.
