Diosdado Cabello, during the Con El Mazo Dando program number 546, indicated that in the United States (USA) there have been more deaths due to alcohol consumption than to drugs
“There are more deaths in the United States from alcohol than from drugs. Last year in the United States, 178,000 people died from alcohol and 105,740 died from drug overdoses, especially synthetic drugs, and that liquor doesn't come out of Venezuela,” said the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) after citing a press article.
In this regard, he cited that in the North American nation it is estimated that there are 47.7 million people over the age of 12 who are addicted to opiates, 18 million regular users of cocaine, 29 million alcoholics.
“So add up (...) 149,000 die between opiates, cocaine and others, they are numbers of them, we are not inventing it. The United States has serious public health problems,” he said.
He warned that the government of Javier Milei wants to implement this policy in Argentina.
