The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, warned that it would not be surprising if tomorrow "María Corina Machado says she escaped, because that is an epic of lies”.

In that vein, he specified that Machado would be able to say that “they captured 20 guys, 42 women, 03 armored cars, 15 motorcycles all with fuses and I escaped”.

“She told a lie, but since you have to put an ornament on a lie, she said that her wallet had been stolen. I wasn't even going to say anything or that his thought had been stolen (...) No, they didn't do anything to me, they just saw me and then they released me because I'm a daddy and mommy's daughter: nobody believes that,” she said.

He added that when you hear that “you say that story has short legs and that's why you have no choice but to tell a lie”.
