Diosdado Cabello: We are going to consolidate Popular Power!

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, confirmed this Monday that the revolutionary forces are making progress in consolidating Popular Power for the construction of the new society.

During a working meeting with governors and mayors of the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) and the National Directorate of the PSUV, headed by President Nicolás Maduro, Cabello stressed that currently the People “are better at controlling, they are much better at prosecuting, but they are still much better at executing projects.”

“We are going in 2025 and 2026 to consolidate Popular Power (...) it has been a very fruitful meeting,” said the senior leader of the red awning from the Teresa Carreño Theater, in Caracas.

He noted that during the meeting they made proposals and the assessment on the fulfillment of the tasks and instructions established at the plenary session held in February.

“The organizational balance of the functioning of the Party at the national, state and municipal levels and basic structures; the organization of the Party in communal circuits or communes; the sectoral organization of the party, the workers, the women, the youth,” he explained.

In addition, he said, they analyzed “the new stage of economic, political and social development, the seven transformations, which is our planning guide, our compass for the coming years and thus making every effort from the different levels of national, state and municipal government to make communal circuits and communes the center, and from there generate policies that directly favor our people.”
