Diplomats from Russia and Iran meet on nuclear program

This Friday, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Ryabkov, held a meeting in Moscow (capital) with the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the country, Kazem Jalali, at which the situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear program was discussed.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Riabkov and Jalali “addressed issues on the international agenda of mutual interest, in particular in the light of the current session of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as well as in relation to international efforts to resolve the situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear program.”
Sputnik added that diplomats have confirmed the intention of both sides to continue strengthening bilateral coordination, given the results of the high-level talks between the two nations held on February 25 in Tehran.
For his part, the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, told the Iranian agency IRNA that Moscow is willing to help Tehran resolve issues related to the Iranian nuclear program.
