The Marinos de Oriente basketball team is preparing for the start of the 2025 season of the Professional Basketball Super League (SPB) with Claudio Jorquera as the new technical director.
On his social networks, the oriental battleship indicated his joy at being able to count on the experience of the Chilean coach, pointing out his career and his characteristics as a young coach who is up to date with modern basketball when it comes to capturing the game of his team.
The trajectory of the new helmsman ranges from Chilean teams, to the southern national team, both men's and women's, and different Spanish basketball teams, according to the specialized press.
From 2011 to 2020, he was in charge of the Colegio Los Leones de Quilpué Sports Club, in Chile during the same period he was head coach of the Chilean men's national team (2017-2018) and assistant to the women's national team (2011-2020). In 2020, he joined JAC Sants in Barcelona as sports director and later assistant coach in the EBA League. In 2021-22, he was the leader of Club Bàsquet Cornellà in the LEB Silver League. And his most recent steps put him in charge of Basketball L'Hospitalet, in the same league.
