In the midst of the energy and economic crisis in Ecuador, various social movements, unions, students, workers, collectives and the people in general mobilized in the central-north of Quito, to demonstrate against the government of President Daniel Noboa.

The president of the National Union of Educators (UNE), Andrés Quishpe, denounced the government's lack of response to the education sector.

“The government of Daniel Noboa has not given the 64 million dollars allocated to the Thirty-Third Transitional Office, while it has 12 million available to finance its propaganda,” he said.

He also denounced the delay in paying salaries to family educators from the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES), who have not received their salaries for more than ten months.

The president of the United Workers Front (FUT), José Villavicencio, harshly criticized the current government “this government has become a dictator and we are not going to allow it. This march is a sign of our discontent and our demand for solutions to the country's problems.”
