Caribes de Anzoátegui won the last Round Robin ticket of the 2025-2026 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) after beating Tigres de Aragua 13-12 in extra training in the second game of the Wild Card Series.
At the Alfonso “Chico” Carrasquel stadium in Puerto La Cruz, the Tribu came out on top in the first chapter prize after Balbino Fuenmayor scored a single for the left fielder that allowed Herlis Rodriguez to score.
In the second inning Caribes added one more that came in Romer Cuadrado's legs and in the third he made a bunch of 5 lines.
The response from the Aragüeño team came in the fifth episode when they scored 6 to leave the scoreboard 7-6.
Caribes in the fifth chapter added more courtesy of David Rodríguez and scored 4 more in the sixth, to extend the 12-6 lead.
The Tigers made a great comeback in the sixth inning with a grand slam from José Martínez, scoring Lorenzo Cedrola, Gorkys Hernandez and Yadiel Hernandez to tie the score 12-12.
The match was defined in the bottom of the 13th inning with a home run by Herlis Rodríguez on his own.
