The Elsa Morales National Art Salon 2025
opened its doors at the National Art Gallery (GAN), in Caracas, with an
exhibition that brings together works in the categories of painting, drawing, sculpture and popular
art, the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture reported.
The event, which pays tribute to the renowned Venezuelan
artist and poet Elsa Morales, was inaugurated with the presentation
of the Venezuelan National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rubén Capriles,
together with performances by Alí Alejandro Primera, Camilo Primera, Ana Cecilia Loyo, Marta Doudiers and Oswaldo Mussett.
As part of the exhibition tour, the
public will also be able to see at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas
Armando Reverón (MACCAR) the works corresponding to fire arts and
textile art, while the Carlos Cruz Diez Museum of Printing and Design
(MEDI) exhibits pieces of photography, digital art, collage, graphic arts and mixed media.
In addition, the Alejandro Otero Museum
(MAO) exhibits works related to video, installations and assemblages.
In total, 450 works by artists from 24 states of the country participate, exhibited in different museums in the capital. All Hall activities are free and will be available to the public until March 2026.
