The community of Bebedero, in Cumaná, Sucre state, celebrated the 2nd Edition of the Empanadas Fair, an event that brought together more than 70 women entrepreneurs dedicated to highlighting the region's gastronomic richness.
It was attended by the candidate for the Government of Sucre, Jhoanna Carrillo Malavé, who highlighted the importance of gastronomy as a pillar of tourism and cultural identity.
“What you do with love enhances culture, and culture is tourism. This fair rescues what we are,” he said.
Carrillo Malavé committed to strengthening this space so that it remains an epicenter of cultural exaltation in Sucre and Venezuela.
“Tourism is reborn with a people that have been economically empowered and in their culture,” he said.
He reaffirmed the importance of promoting initiatives that preserve traditions and promote regional development.
The event has the support of partners, public and private companies, who joined forces to facilitate the fair, which benefits more than eight thousand families.
During Major Week, visitors and locals will enjoy a day of cultural reunion, where joy and oriental pride are the protagonists.
