This Wednesday, June 4th, Ernesto Luna was sworn in as governor of the
state of Monagas for the period 2025-2029.
During the event, from the municipality of Maturín, Luna pledged to fulfill the mandate and remain “willingly dedicated to the noble and sublime interests of the people of Monagua”.
“Before God, before my people, before my mother, my
family and my wife, I swear to continue to fulfill the people of Monagua, until I
make Monagas prosperous and beautiful. It's not just an act of swearing in, it's
an act of commitment because we assume it in the soul and in the depths of our
being to follow,” he said.
He also said that he will continue to be deployed in
every territory, in every street, in every school, in every sector, visiting and
listening to the people. “We will continue to work together with the people, hand in hand with organized
communities,” he added.
He also thanked the entire work team,
the organized popular power for working and providing collective solutions to
the population.
In this sense, he invited all Monaguenses not
to live on past victories, but on future victories to achieve economic, business and agro-industrial
prosperity. “It's not a task for a single political
sector, we all have to work together, all sectors of
the social life of our state,” he said.
He stressed that they have been working on building human cities, improving public services, promoting agro-industry, to turn Monagas into a reference state.
