A new and violent air attack carried out by the Israeli occupying forces against southern Lebanon has forced the massive displacement of hundreds of Lebanese families. Citizens, coming from towns such as Tyre and Bint Jbeil, have been forced to leave their homes in search of refuge in the cities of Sidon and Beirut, in the face of intensified attacks that have left at least 28 people dead and many injured in villages such as Harouf, Al-Sharqiyah and Kfar Sir.

The aggression, described as the most intense since the recent agreement signed between Iran and the United States for the reduction of hostilities, has also impacted key infrastructure in the Bekaa Valley and the historic Baalbek region.

In response to this flagrant violation of the 14-point memorandum of understanding signed by Presidents Masud Pezeshkian and Donald Trump, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has decided to temporarily suspend the peace talks that were scheduled in Switzerland.

The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei, stressed that Tehran will not resume dialogue without real guarantees to ensure the definitive cessation of hostilities. For its part, the Lebanese Government has denounced the illegal stay of occupying troops in its territory, as well as the advance of land incursions that place the civilian population at imminent risk, in a context where the Ministry of Health has recorded a cumulative toll of 3,912 deaths and 11,873 injured since last March.

In parallel with the humanitarian crisis, heavy fighting has been reported in the strategic hills of Kfar Tebnit and Ali al-Taher. In these clashes, the fighters of the Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah managed to repel a four-day enemy offensive, reporting the destruction of three Merkava tanks and the death of several invading soldiers, including Lieutenant Colonel Dor Ben Simhon, commander of Battalion 52 of the occupying forces.
