The memory of Con El Mazo Dando holds memories of important representatives and leaders of the Bolivarian Revolution who accompanied us, throughout this communication battle, to tell the truth about Venezuela and who today are no longer on the earthly plane, so with regard to the arrival of our #500 broadcast, we want to pay a heartfelt tribute to them, remembering when they were with us.

Aristobulo Istúriz: El Cimarron Mayor

The C imarrón Mayor, Aristobulo Istúriz, one of the greatest defenders and promoters of the Revolution accompanied us in the #152 broadcast, held on April 4, 2017, from this space the teacher reiterated his Bolivarian sentiment and his rejection of the violent actions of the country's extreme right.

During this program, in which he also accompanied Captain Diosdado Cabello in the leadership, Istúriz assured that the right wing “uses fear as a political medium” and stressed that the greatest urgency of the opposition sector is “to generate death to demonstrate what the empire is demanding: Violence.

The teacher's physical absence has never been synonymous with oblivion, as Diosdado Cabello always finds the moment and the words to pay homage to his eternal older brother.

Robert Serra: Golden Youth

On August 14, 2014, Deputy Robert Serra reiterated the commitment of the young generation to perpetuate the legacy of the Eternal Commander, Hugo Chávez, and to defend the Homeland and the achievements of the Revolution.

Serra invited the audience to trust “in this generation, that we are not going to fail them, this generation is being formed, it is playing its role in neighborhoods, in the streets where others cannot come to assume, as Commander Hugo Chávez said, those of us who have the necessary passion to invest it to make the Bolivarian Revolution irreversible have a flood of dignity, of revolutionary principles and we have nothing to lose, because even life, as the Giant Chávez gave it, we are willing to give.

Darío Vivas: Loyalty to the Test

Remembered by the captain as a companion who leaves a mark on his work, loyalty, discipline and talent, he also attended the most watched program on Venezuelan television to give his presence a boost to the defense of the truth in Venezuela.

His physical departure occurred in 2020 after complications from COVID-19, however, his love for the Fatherland has not left the spaces of the program, as Cabello constantly remembers the moments they shared and exalts the values that accompanied Vivas until his last breath.

Jorge Luis García Carneiro: Tireless Revolutionary

When we were just starting out on this long journey, a man characterized by his hard work, love for the people and loyalty to Hugo Chávez and the Revolution, Jorge Luis García Carneiro , was with us.

During the seventh broadcast, the then governor of the state Vargas (now La Guaira state) highlighted the Commander's commitment to the welfare of the People, “in 40 years democracy is old, let's call it democracy, it managed to literate 320,000 people, President Chávez managed to literate 2 and a half million in a year and a half; that can only be achieved in Revolution”.

He also reiterated his loyalty to the leader of Chavismo, because “when you see a man who is completely dedicated to his country, who is above all the need for knowledge and full sovereignty... Why not be loyal when you are fighting for the most sacred?

Earle Herrera: The Brave Man King of Letters

He was also one of Captain Cabello's first guests , specifically in the #35 episode and during his participation he assured that the Venezuelan opposition, after committing crimes such as the one perpetrated against Robert Serra, seeks to make the people overflow to enter a state of anarchy.

He also questioned the position that the right wing has always wanted to play as a victim, when it is really a victimizer, while inviting us not to underestimate the opposition and its intentions to harm the people.

After the death of Herrera, the now Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations of Justice and Peace, in the fiery chapel, he exalted to be honored to share with a “great revolutionary, as was this teacher, journalist and poet”.

“I must say that I am honored in life to be able to say in the future that I could share with Earle Herrera, I could enjoy the closeness, to share with Earle Herrera,” he said.

Herrera was an extremely supportive man with a great sense of the value of friendship,” he added.

Marlene Venegas: The Color of the Revolution

A faithful companion to every program carried out in the capital city, Caracas, was the recently deceased Marlene Venegas, better known as The Little Red Riding Hood of the Revolution.

Remembered for always wearing red from head to toe and for her love for Commander Hugo Chávez, Little Red Riding Hood was present among the Con El Mazo Dando audience in multiple broadcasts; her energy and love for the Fatherland and the Revolution made her one of the most faithful and iconic characters on the show.

Venegas was one of the main admirers of the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), in fact, in July 2020, when his health became complicated by COVID-19, Little Red Riding Hood sent a message of support and solidarity in which she placed her recovery in the hands of God and the Virgin of Coromoto.

“Here we are in prayer with Our Lady of Coromoto, asking for your recovery and for that of all the comrades who are fighting against this pandemic,” he said.

Each of these people, from their spaces, gave their contribution to the construction and consolidation of the Revolution and for Con El Mazo Dando it was a pleasure to count not only on their company, but on their love and loyalty. Honor and glory!
