The Executive Vice President and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced the aggression against oil and gas producing countries, such as Venezuela, which has been under military threat from the United States Government, which seeks to appropriate the wealth of the Bolivarian nation.

During his participation in the International Energy Forum, which is being held in Moscow, Russia, Rodríguez asserted that 26% of world oil production is under illegal sanctions, as is 43% of world reserves. “This calls us to reflect, to think about what will be the impact on future investments of these countries that are illegitimately and illegally sanctioned in order to meet that demand that is already projecting growth.”

In this regard, he noted that energy specialists have projected demand for oil and gas for the year 2050, with a growth of 23% in demand.

He emphasized that militarily attacking Venezuela, the country with the largest oil reserves, undoubtedly has an implication in the international energy formula and in the future development of those resources.

The Executive Vice President highlighted that strategic alliances between Russia and Venezuela together represent 24% of the world's energy reserves due to their oil and gas reserves.

Rodríguez confirmed that Venezuela is committed to maintaining market balance, balance in price. “We are fervent supporters of space and the OPEC PLUS agreement so that we can guarantee an energy future for all,” he added.

Venezuela of Peace and its immense wealth extends its hand to other countries, for a new world of respect, respect for community laws, love, stability, and that social justice becomes a true future for all,” he said.
