Over the past seven days, experts have managed to repel more than 2,000 cyberattacks against the Venezuelan State and institutions from abroad, before, during and after the elections last Sunday, July 28, in which President Nicolás Maduro was re-elected.

These attacks are part of an organized plan to prevent access to information released by the State regarding election day and the return to tranquility following coup and terrorist actions carried out by violent groups supported and financed by the extreme right, which took place on July 29 and 30, as reported by the Venezuelan authorities and the President of the Republic himself.

In this regard, one of the institutions that has been most affected by cyberattacks was the National Electoral Council (CNE), with the clear purpose of preventing the transmission of electoral counts and, in this way, raising doubts about the transparency of the presidential election, which President Maduro won with 6,408,844 votes (51.95%).

The Head of State reported cyberattacks against at least 25 state institutions, for which he held the American magnate and owner of platform X, Elon Musk, and the fascist right wing responsible.

During the early hours of this Saturday, numerous cyberattacks were repelled, the largest number of them coming from three IP addresses from Singapore (675, 68 and 6, respectively). Others were perpetrated from IP addresses located in the United Arab Emirates (255), the United States (90), France (78), Hong Kong (6), Bulgaria (5), Turkey (3) and the United Kingdom (2).

Over the past 24 hours, the following attacks were carried out from six Singapore-based IP addresses: 586, 67, 64, 54, 6 and 1. These were not the only ones, as others were also frustrated from IP addresses in Hong Kong (6), Bulgaria (3), Malaysia (1) and the Netherlands (1).

In the last seven days, 810 attacks were repelled from IP addresses located in Singapore, 766 in the United Arab Emirates, 522 from Cambodia, 205 from the Netherlands, 95 from the US, 78 from France, 57 from Bulgaria, 22 from Germany and 10 from Hong Kong.

Through its account on the social network X, the hacker collective Anonymous admitted to having launched massive attacks against official sites of the Venezuelan State. According to the group, its attacks affected 235 official sites in the last 72 hours, national media reports.
