The 2nd Goat and Sheep Fair of the Valles del Tuy, which will take place from October 23 to 27, brings together all producers from the western and central region of the country, in order to learn about and participate in all the experiences of the sector, said the mayor of the Simón Bolívar municipality of Miranda state, Saúl Yánez.
During his participation in the program Café en la Mañana, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he explained that during the five days the gastronomy derived from lambs and goats, “cheese, sausage, milk and everything that has to do with this small bouquet” will be exhibited and tasted together with the celebration of the 34th Festival de Cantares del Tuy para el Llano.
He also reported that thanks to an agreement made to ASOCABRA, a herd of 110 goats with a highly genetic parent was delivered to the communes, which has generated a 100% increase in sheep production.
In this regard, he stressed that the increase in sheep production “allows us to continue to promote production, agriculture, overcome hatred and evil”.
He also said that these are scenarios to promote peace in the territory and also promotion for the more than 20,000 visitors and tourists in the Tuyero territory, who “can purchase this type of animal from domestic production.”
“The people of Yarense have been in practice for years and from the national government, “we are helping them to improve genetics, acquiring agreements with different private sectors,” he said.
