FANB dismantled mining camp in Amazonas

The FANB remains deployed fighting illegal mining in our national parks

Rapid Reaction Units (URRA) of our Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) detected and destroyed an illegal mining camp installed in the Atabapo municipality of the state of Amazonas, reported the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through a message posted on his Instagram account, the senior military officer explained that the aforementioned space was detected while the uniformed personnel were carrying out patrolling and searching tasks in an area adjacent to the Carida indigenous community in the Bulla Loca mine sector.

In the aforementioned camp, uniformed personnel found 200 liters of gasoline; six 13 HP water suction motors; four mining snails; four carpets used as a sieve; 50 meters of 4” high pressure hose; four meters of 4” PVC pipe; one meter of 4” maraca hose and four belts for mining engines.
